United Synergies presently runs a variety of programs designed to support people facing challenges related to entering or re-entering the workforce.
Training and Pre-employment Services
Get Set for Work
Get Set for Work is a 12 week program design to help young people aged 15-19 years who have disengaged, or are at risk of disengaging from school, with a transition pathway towards employment or further education.
Offering a holistic approach, the program helps young people to reconnect with themselves, their family and community as well as focussing on improving general wellbeing and employability.
Participants benefit from practical work experience and hands-on skills development. Personal support and mentoring is offered throughout the program and beyond to help participants identify and overcome challenges so they can return to formal education or training or secure a job.
Get Set for Work is part of the Queensland Government’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.
Participate in Prosperity
The Participate in Prosperity program offers job seekers aged 19 and up free support to identify and address barriers which are preventing them from getting and keeping a job.
It offers one-on-one support to help people deal with whatever their challenges may be - including health issues, homelessness, incomplete education, relationship problems and losing connections with their wider community. The program also offers training and career coaching and personal development workshops.
The program helps job seekers to navigate and access the complete range of government and non-government services that they need to overcome personal difficulties, develop skills and ultimately enter the workforce.
Participate in Prosperity is currently being offered to people residing in the Noosa/Tewantin and Caloundra regions and is part of the Queensland Government’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative (view PDF)
