United Synergies is a not for profit organisation that provides direct services and support to individuals, families and communities (and in particular young people) to assist them in achieving their full potential.
United Synergies began as the Noosa Youth Service in 1989, through the dedication and determination of a local community committed to providing better support to young people who were homeless. We now support more than 2500 people in need every year through a range of accommodation, employment, education, training, mentoring, suicide prevention and bereavement support, volunteer management and counselling and referral services.
Our programs and services are available to people on the Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas, as well as other communities around Australia.
We work with our clients to help them achieve stability and security in their lives, along with a sense of wellbeing and happiness. We work directly with those in need and also provide advice, consultancy and partnership opportunities to other agencies and government.
How We Work
United Synergies is an independent, not-for-profit community based organisation. We operate with only a small staff relative to the number of programs and services we offer. Our direction is guided by a Board of Directors.
Most of the services we provide are to people living on the Sunshine Coast. However our reach into other geographic areas continues to grow as our reputation as leaders in innovative service gains wider recognition.
We could not achieve all that we do without the support and funding we receive from partners including federal, state and local governments; businesses; schools and other community organisations, as well as volunteers who assist us in delivering our programs and services.
Sharing knowledge and experience is a key value of our organisation and allows us to broaden our ability to deliver services and assist those in need.
We support several other human services organisations to deliver services around Australia.
