Counselling is offered to clients through a variety of programs operating at United Synergies.

Working with young people on a one-to-one basis, we aim to teach, support and facilitate more functional and social ways of living and to bridge a gap in the provision of affordable psychological services for young people on the Sunshine Coast.

Reasons for referral of young people to this service can include bullying, self harm, depression, violence, drug abuse as well as family isolation and neglect, stress management, career counselling, anger management, eating disorders and anxiety.

United Synergies works closely with clinical mental health services to ensure that young people requiring clinical assessments have access to appropriate services.

Our psychology and counselling service also supports, trains and supervises the carers and workers in our Supported Accommodation team.

United Synergies’ counselling services are enhanced through our co-location arrangements with Drug Arm Australasia and Relationships Australia (Qld). These reputable services, based full-time at our Tewantin facility, provide counselling in a range of specialist areas including, gambling, relationships, substance abuse and victims of crime.
