Youth Support Program

This program aims to support young people who are at risk of leaving school and/or home prematurely. Through the Youth Support Program we give individualised support so that young people and their families are able to access a range of specialist services including problem solving and personal counselling.

The program has 4 Youth Support Coordinators who work directly with young people and their families (including grandparents) as well as with local State and Independent secondary schools and the wider community. An emphasis is placed on early intervention and prevention strategies such as group work programs that promote resilience and personal development and community education programs such as 1-day positive parenting workshop.
