Younger Parents Program

< 25 years

The Younger Parents Program aims to support, educate and develop strong community links for young people who are pregnant and/or already parents. The service helps to reduce the isolation and anxiety sometimes experienced by young parents, equipping them with positive parenting skills.

Younger Parents Program can assist if:

  • You are pregnant and/or a parent aged under 25 years, and
  • You are seeking peer support and a sharing of parenting experiences
  • You wish to engage in weekly playgroup and positive parenting education sessions

Younger Parents Program offers:

  • Parenting and relationship information and education
  • Family support
  • Playgroup and early childhood education
  • Social, education and vocational training skills workshops
  • Health and wellbeing development
  • Peer leadership training
  • Life skills

Younger Parents Program helps to:

  • Make connections with other young parents
  • Develop positive parenting and relationship skills
  • Resource and facilitate a weekly playgroup
  • Link young parents to community based support and services
  • Access education, employment and/or training
